Photography

Photography is the backbone of my creative practice. Capturing visuals is often the quickest way for me to bring an idea to life and offers full control over how something is represented or perceived. Photography and communication design go hand in hand and these works explore how I use photography and art direction across publication, advertising, and creative expression.

Bonics  A studio shoot and advertising application for Bonics Estate, a premium organic wine brand. I used natural textures like vines and raw wood to reflect the wine’s biodynamic origins, paired with dark, moody lighting to highlight its rich, premium character.

URKU A studio shoot for real client, URKU Chocolate House, capturing the texture and premium feel of their beautifully crafted chocolates made from Ecuadorian cacao. The aim was to show off the richness and detail in each variety of their new line of chocolates through simple, focused compositions. Here I have also composited photos of the chocolate and packaging into a single clean composition to be used for a hero or banner image at a larger scale.

I have also worked on in-house photography for URKU. This series was shot to highlight the warmth and care behind the brand, the same feeling I experienced on my first visit as a customer. The imagery captures the space as both premium and welcoming, focusing on the personal touch that defines the URKU experience.
Treasures Treasures is a photo series and publication I created about people and the things they hold close. Each portrait features objects that mean something to them, offering a glimpse into what they value and why. The project combines photography, art direction, and publication design to explore those small, human connections between people and what they love. The aim for this project was to highlight each subject’s individuality while keeping a consistent editorial tone across the images.
Sasquatch
I created this photo series to promote a fictional photo exhibition called ‘Sasquatch’. The series is a mix of portraits, landscapes, and still life, shot on a combination of digital and analogue. It explores themes of fear and disorientation in the wilderness. Each image reflects the feelings of vulnerability and the eerie stillness of the forest. Combining photography, art direction and publication design, the series builds a cinematic tension that plays with the line between myth and reality.
